The Big
Blue Retreat
is a unique architecturally designed cape
cod style house set in beautiful quiet surroundings. A refreshing
retreat
for rebuilding the spirit, located in a small hamlet, 100
metres from the beach - an ideal destination both in winter and summer.
It
is close to
attractions in the south. It is family friendly -
children most welcome and is well suited for longer stays.
The
kitchen is fully
equipped, tastefully appointed bathroom (sorry, no
spa due to limited water at Garden Island Sands) with a second toilet
upstairs. Downstairs also features a separate
dining, lounge area and laundry.
The
Big
Blue Retreat sleeps 9
people. Downstairs is a master queen size bedroom. Upstairs is a second
queen size bedroom and a third bedroom featuring bunk style sleeping
arrangements with double bed on bottom and single on top. A
large play/family room is also located upstairs with an additional 2
single sleeping nooks. These sleeping nooks are extremely cosy and well
suited for a comfortable nights sleep (trust us, the children
especially love them!). A
cot* and highchair* are
available on request for your little one.
Outside
in this quiet
setting is
a fully fenced yard with a small play area for
the
youngsters. The beach is a level 100 metres walk.
During the summer months (generally December through March dependent on
weather) a shade
sail is placed over the deck to provide some well needed shade so you
can
escape Tasmania's intense sun. During Tasmania's cool winter months a
cosy wood heater is available for your comfort and warmth.
